Fall (poem)

Sitting outside it’s hot.Go in the shade and it’s cool.Cold rock down below, warm air above.

Bees buzz all around while the hummingbird makes no sound.Leaves fall from all direction from the tall and firm maple.

The crickets chirp and the birds sing. The crow crows and a dog barks. The clouds above are like a feather light and delicate from the weather.

Grass so green and bright shine from the white sunlight.A caterpillar grazes the grass looking for a tasty snack.

Everything is not so lull that’s because it is fall!

  1. I have been missing you very, very much, so seeing your posts today was so exciting! Your poetry is just lovely. This poem made me FEEL fall. I especially liked your word choices about the clouds being “feather light and delicate”. I have been enjoying the moon as I drive home, with the fabulous cloud colors changing moment by moment. Good old New England fall!
